Focus and Scope:
Fisheries and Society is a journal of research and community empowerment published bimonthly by Fisheries and Society Publisher. The journal published the original papers, short communications, and reviews relating to fisheries science but not limited to: aquatic ecosystems, aquatic resources management, fish processing, fishing gear technology, socio-economics of marine fisheries, Ichthyology, aquatic ecology, ecotourism, marine invertebrate, marine biology, marine ecology; fish genetics, population dynamics, resources assessment, conservation of aquatic resources and legislation, aquaculture, nutrition, pollution, fish health, fisheries farming systems, community empowerment, etc.
Peer and Review Process
Editor in chief will assign the manuscript to a corresponding Editor or Managing Editor for further handling. The Editor or Managing Editor will request at least two scientists to review the research article manuscript. All manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review whose reviewers' identities will remain anonymous to the authors and are expected to meet standards of academic excellence. Reviewers are aware of the identity of the authors, but authors are unaware of the identity of reviewers.
Publication Ethics
Fisheries and Society is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. All authors submitting their works to the journal for publication as original articles attest that the submitted works represent their authors’ contributions and have not been copied or plagiarized in whole or in part from other works. All of submitted works will be checked by antiplagiarism software. Plagiarism detected works will be banned for further publication procedure. Authors who have been determined to have committed plagiarism will be banned for publishing in Fisheries and Society. Our ethic statements are based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
