Abstract

Water quality is an important component that must be considered in raising tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This will greatly affect the optimal growth of fish. During the study, the average length growth of tilapia every week was 0.6 cm and the average weight gain every week was 1.41 g. The survival rate (SR) showed 96.6%, which means that the survival rate is very good. Survival rate (SR) showed 96.6% which means very good. Water quality conditions during the study showed pH 7.4-8.1, DO 20.00 mg/L - 28.6 mg/L, salinity 24.7-32.7 ppt and temperature 25.6°C - 33.5°C. According to our suspicion, in addition to feeding less than 30% protein, another factor that causes the growth rate of tilapia is less than optimal because of the increase in temperature.
